Awards will be presented mid-afternoon on Sunday, September 7, 2014. Prizes are awarded at the discretion of the judges. All decisions are final.
Awards for each division First Place - $2000 maximum Second Place - $1000 maximum Third Place - $500 maximum
The Thousands Islands International Piano Competition has a history of generosity in its desire to recognize performers of the highest caliber. Prizes are not always awarded as indicated above. The jury measures competitors against a professional standard and reserves the right to: award multiple 1st, 2nd, or 3rd prizes; abstain from awarding a particular prize; split prizes between two competitors; award less than maximum prize money amounts listed depending on the performances that year. Future performance opportunities may be offered to prize winners.
