Awards

Awards will be presented mid-afternoon on Sunday, September 7, 2014.  Prizes are awarded at the discretion of the judges.  All decisions are final.

Awards for each division
First Place - $2000 maximum
Second Place - $1000 maximum
Third Place - $500 maximum

The Thousands Islands International Piano Competition has a history of generosity in its desire to recognize performers of the highest caliber. Prizes are not always awarded as indicated above. The jury measures competitors against a professional standard and reserves the right to:  award multiple 1^st, 2^nd, or 3^rd prizes; abstain from awarding a particular prize; split prizes between two competitors; award less than maximum prize money amounts listed depending on the performances that year. Future performance opportunities may be offered to prize winners.

General Information

Applications are being accepted starting April 1, 2014. The deadline for applications is June 30, 2014. The competition is limited to 15 contestants and applications will be accepted in the order they are received.
